Privacy and game data

What the game uses
No account, email address or password is needed to play. We process your chosen player name, room code, a random seat token for reconnecting, drawings or selected faces, answers, votes, reactions, scores, game inputs and quiz requests. Use a nickname. Do not enter sensitive or private information.
Names, faces and game results are visible to the other people in your room and on its shared screen. Answers and votes are revealed as part of the game. A room code is an invitation, not a private account password. End-of-night cards can be opened by people with their links, and a card you share may be kept by its recipients.
Hosting and AI services
- Cloudflare hosts the website, room connections, temporary game state, quiz library, images and voice clips. It processes network information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service. Room events, timings and operational diagnostics help us understand failures and performance.
- Anthropic receives relevant game text and facts, including player names and answers, to group matching answers, write host lines and prepare or check quizzes.
- OpenAI receives text for safety moderation and quiz descriptions for generated title art. Content processing depends on the selected game and room settings.
- ElevenLabs receives host-line text, which can include player names, to make the spoken host voice.
- Firecrawl receives quiz-topic search queries to research public web sources for questions.
- Railway and Healthchecks.io support our service-health probes. These use separate synthetic rooms rather than your game content.
The native app communicates with our service, which makes these provider requests. It has no advertising or third-party analytics SDK. We do not sell game data or use it for cross-app advertising tracking. Providers process requests under their applicable service terms; their own security logs and retention may outlast the game room.
Your choice
Before joining through the iOS app, read the data-sharing notice and explicitly agree. If you do not agree, do not join. Leave the room to stop sending further game inputs. Family mode limits player input and enables stricter moderation, but still uses hosting and safety services; it is not an offline mode. A host can also adjust filtering. Previously processed content remains subject to the retention periods below.
How long data stays
A room expires after 30 minutes with no connections. When a room closes, the server removes its live room data; end-of-night card data can remain available for 24 hours, then is deleted. A room that remains active can last longer. Generated quizzes, their title art and reusable question voice recordings are kept in a quiz library for later play, without an automatic expiry. Do not include personal information in quiz topics.
Operational diagnostics and network-security records follow the hosting providers' configured retention, separately from room expiry. If you need details about a specific record or want content removed, contact us with the room code or quiz title and approximate time. We cannot recover content that has already expired or remove copies other players saved.
On your device
The app stores reconnecting information and preferences in its app container and shared App Group so the app and App Clip can work together. Cards you choose to save stay locally for the Nights screen. Removing the app and its local data removes those saved copies; this does not delete copies you exported or shared. The web controller uses browser storage for reconnecting. Clear the site's browser storage to remove that local information.

Support messages are processed so we can answer your request. Send only the information needed for the issue. If our data practices change, we will update this page and the in-app notice as appropriate before asking for new sharing choices.
